A refined vintage Audemars Piguet Calatrava-style dress watch in solid 18k yellow gold, preserved in exceptional condition and fitted with the highly sought after Jean-Pierre Ecoffey (JPE) woven gold bracelet, which is consistent with the piece being produced in the 70s. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship, Ecoffey bracelets were produced in limited numbers for the best of the best pieces and are admired for their supple feel, rich texture and flawless integration with the case.
The watch features a beautifully executed textured dial, where the fine hobnail pattern contrasts subtly with the polished applied hour markers, showcasing Audemars Piguet’s mastery of discreet yet complex finishing. The slim yellow gold case is framed by a delicately detailed bezel, a hallmark of AP’s understated elegance. Every surface reveals careful hand-finishing, from the crisp case edges to the silky articulation of the bracelet links.
Audemars Piguet has long been revered for producing some of the most elegant dress watches of the 20th century, often in small quantities and with exceptional attention to detail. Pieces like this were made for a discerning clientele who valued refinement, making surviving examples increasingly rare today.
The integrated bracelet allows for a comfortable fit on wrists around 17.5–18.5 cm.
