Rolex Datejust 26mm Lapis Dial with Bark Bracelet - Ref. 6927

This Rolex Datejust 6927 showcases one of the brand’s most distinctive vintage combinations, the timeless Datejust case paired with a rare lapis lazuli hardstone dial. Produced during the 1970s–1980s, reference 6927 belongs to the era when Rolex experimented with natural stone dials such as coral, malachite, onyx, sodalite, and lapis. Each cut from a single piece of stone and therefore completely unique. These dials were produced in very small numbers, making them highly collectible today.

The deep blue lapis dial, with its eye-catching ultramarine colour, adds a subtle yet striking texture against the fluted yellow gold bezel and case. The simplicity of the dial layout, called ghost as it is without markers interrupting the stone, enhances the beauty of the material and gives the watch a refined, jewel-like presence. The bark bracelet adds another layer of texture which gives movement and rhythm to the piece. 

This example retains the elegant proportions of the vintage Datejust while offering a very different character from modern references with slimmer lugs, a lighter profile, and the charm of Rolex’s hand-finished hardstone dials.
